Cheshire Labs

Cheshire Labs was founded by Michael Salmi, a Lab Automation Engineer, in May 2024. Michael frequently had to modify existing lab automation applications to meet his needs and found himself repeatedly creating the same custom scripts for different systems. To address these challenges, he founded Cheshire Labs to develop simple, versatile software that provides the essential features automation engineers need to deploy systems quickly and efficiently.

Orca

Orca is scheduling software developed by Cheshire Labs. It orchestrates multiple robotic instruments by using a configuration file provided via the command line. Users can define labware, resources, system options, methods, and workflows within this file, as well as integrate custom scripts.

Orca allows for flexible execution, enabling users to run entire workflows or individual methods as needed. Designed for advanced automation needs, Orca aims to streamline lab operations and improve efficiency.
